The Children's Week Association of South Australia are looking for people in the community who make a difference for children, not forgetting the quiet achievers.
Nomination will be also sought for young people who are a role
model for others.
Nominations will be open for the following awards:
1. Minister for Education and Children's Services Awards for children who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in any endeavour.
Nominations will be welcome for two sections:-
- Children 12 years of age and under
- Children between the ages of 13 and 18 years
Two awards will be given in each section.
Minister for Education and Children's Services
Awards will be presented by the Minister Dr Jane Lomax
Smith during Children's Week.
2. Children's Week Awards for Service to Children
Nominations will be welcome for two categories:
- Adult - persons 18 years and over
- Child & Youth - children under the age of 18 years
3. Play Award for contributions to the development of children's play
Children's Week Awards and the Play Award will be presented by the Patron of Children's Week, Her Excellency Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Governor of South Australia at Government House during Children Week.
Nomination forms for the Children's Week Awards will
be available mid June and nominations close FRIDAY 1 SEPTEMBER 2006.
