Adelaide, sweet Adelaide, is home. A gentle, arty city stretching from the
Hills to the warm gulf waters. Here is a glimpse of our very civilized urban
lifestyle.
The Fringe is a massive symbiotic event or a more alternative nature. This
site was constructed by, operated by the Virtual Artists, Dave Sag and Jesse
Reynolds who are legends in cyber pioneering hereabouts. They also look
after WOMADELAIDE - the World of Music and Dance festival. And many other
things.

Earth Sanctuaries - A good look at Australia and its animals. Understand why
the feral cat is a serious issue.

The Barossa Valley is Australia's Napa Valley. It is a long-established wine
region with a strong Lutheran German heritage. I love this area very much -
and particularly Peter Lehmann's wines.

Kumarangk is the Aboriginal name for Hindmarsh Island - a scrap of land
which is the centre of an historic and controversial battle of cultural
values. This is the story from our Ngarrindjeri people, the original
inhabitants of the land! The sad saga is still unfolding.

From tiny acorns, mighty oaks grow. I was the tiny acorn of this
magnificent, award-winning movie made here in Adelaide. It was my article in
the paper that set director Scott Hicks on his path - resulting, 10 years
later, in this best of all possible films, Shine:

Culture and commerce can go hand-in-hand. Here's one of the most exquisite
showcases of Aboriginal art and artefacts you're likely to see (on a site
designed by Nanou who also designed this site) - and the bonus is that, if
you like anything, you can buy it and support the community at the same time.

FUN, FRIENDS and INTERESTS
My mate Wayne Anthoney is a mathematician who happens to be a clown - and a
few other things, now including web wizard. He's the only person I know who
has sold plays on the Internet. He also works helping Aboriginal communities
up north. Check out his work:

A new net journal which is what its name suggests - interesting columns written by people who have something to say:

People are always asking me for this URL. Annie Sprinkle's Home Page - the
post modernist porn queen who failed to shock us when she turned up in town.
We liked her. She has a serious message behind the sexual gimmickery. I
still wear her cervix badge!

It is not unknown that I have some affinity with the Buddhist world. This is
a pleasant core site which honor's the Dalai Lama's Gyuto Monks and their
visits to Australia. It has good Tibet links.

IRC is a wonderful meeting ground - and generates some very special
communities of people. This is the newsletter compiled by the members of my
"cybervillage".

One of the people I call "family" is Rachel Harris, commonly known as
rachelh, whom I met on IRC. We've visited each other - I to Portland twice
and she to Adelaide once. She is a net wizard, among other things, and her
homepage is impressive.

Journos to the fore! This noble Adelaide-based freelancer used to have a
real name, Bob Evans, before he was sucked into cyberspace became "bevans".
I like bevans. It has minimalist cachet. His homepage is rich in the joys of
Australian olive oil - which is a lifestyle superlative rivalled only by our
wine (and lobster and oysters and stonefruit and...)

They said they'd put my link up if I put up theirs. Fair deal, I reckon. They're a search engine. Very useful. You can even look up this page.
